physical hardware interface supplier

http://na.suzohapp.com/

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

prob cant use any of that stuff after looking at it. its all industrial connectors and high voltage for the LED's and lights. be a pain to use with arduino.

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

on hardware, just find a way to get a joystick and selector button talking to a mac mini via usb/etc

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

and a way to map it to specific keys.   i think you already figured that out for the single function button for callidus last month.

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

yep got it. BTLE protocol so it will act like a wireless keyboard sending any key designation you want
Flash can interpret that right?

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

no way to just build a component to send via usb?  basically flash needs a keyboard event, or something masked as a keyboard event.

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

btle keyboard acts like its plugged in usb.

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

k.  just verirfy we can make it happen with relativley little work, and find me pics of nice looking tactile controls to put in estimate.  joystick and select btns.

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

yeh adafruit makes a btle keyboard spit out device for 20$. looks wicked.
biggest thing is going to be doing the buttons and joystick, powering them, mounting them in an enclosure, ect

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

dont spend ton of time on this

get me images real quick for approx devices we could use

and super rough estimate, like 100/500/1000$

also time wise what would be involved to wire/get connected, not worrying about mounting to enclosure/cabinet

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

joystick and how many buttons?

in its own enclsoure?

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

slick you gotta start writing stuff down/taking notes.  mentioned this 3 times

one joystick
two selector buttons.

see above, dont worry about enclosure/where they mount.  ill take of that later.

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

just making sure good grief.

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

acquire:

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

thinking
Hardware + Buttons - 200$
PCB Design + Fab - 150$

def on the high side and could be a lot less than that.

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

dang, we'd need to make a custom pcb board for this?

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

65K display and you want to ratsnest a box of shit because you dont want to get a pro level board made for 100$.

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

AB production level

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

i'll pull costs directly out of your paycheck. enjoy.

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

done with the rats nest crap. got my good gypsy hookup and oshpark.
straight up solder dream now. pro level right out of the box and less work.

Justin Bernard on September 4, 2014:

where my pics at.  this was 3+hrs ago.

Taylor Bernard on September 4, 2014:

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

thx

this would be closest one
http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-baroque-wardrobe-armoire/602230

hold up on buying, ill just screencap the image.

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

actually, do this.  pshop out the door area, leave the borders, of the door, but basically make us a space where 2 displays could be mounted, make that area blk, maybe slight blk/dark grey gradient to indicate led

trim the border of the doors down pretty thin so we have more display area

Taylor Bernard on September 12, 2014:

side by side?

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

well, trim it down super thin, so like 1/2" or so, and then one strip down middle.  would do design with that break in middle.  keep i more natural looking

then put the joystick from above, blk one, on the ledge/surface, put a joystick on each side

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

would put buttons but be not able to even see from this angle

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

maybe do ball style joystick like the top one you found. your call

Taylor Bernard on September 12, 2014:

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

ah close

kill the two displays, make the wicked plants graphic be like the whole blk area.  one big LED made to fit

i was meaning we may could leave the vert wood divider if thin, and just have it overlay the display

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

use this, someone made it online c4d render, looks way nicer

make it white over solid pruple with little vignette bg maybe, play with it

Taylor Bernard on September 12, 2014:

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

cool. billion times better logo.  maybe throw some color behind the logo, being its on a white bg.  blends in. maybe grey to dark grey, or purple to dark purple

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

hey and put it back to two joysticks like yuou had it before, looks better and want to make it multiplayer

Taylor Bernard on September 12, 2014:

Justin Bernard on September 12, 2014:

peeeerfect, thanks.  all done.  fix dat sense enclosure. im buckling on finishing this proposal so let me know if you get stuck/dont know what to do thx
