this is an internal deck they had done for their annual dealer meeting they did in hawaii last year. thats like dealers for all over the country. deck looks weak, we can do way better.
isnt 'built to race' and the ktm logo non-negotiable for other fonts though?
Justin Bernard on April 3, 2015:
yes. but logo is fine, no floating elements. may or may not use ready to race, and if we just title it, we can go with whatever font we want...
Taylor Bernard on April 3, 2015:
man id rather go with a thin connector line hack floating at the top 10% than change up font to something else. that DIN they are using is pretty nice looking.
Taylor Bernard on April 3, 2015:
speaking of fonts, cant find that duke font anywhere. even tried all the font search tools and forums.
NIIIIICE. good job, thats it. i just tested a few diff words in the book and its a 100% match.
both upper and lower case on that font are capital size, but they are diff characters. in this catalog, they are alternating A LOT even within a single word case structure to make it look best
Taylor Bernard on April 3, 2015:
def not a cool font name 'starduster'. ha
you see those quotes coming in for the printing?
Justin Bernard on April 3, 2015:
yep thx much
ill review more in a bit
your catalogs/poster come in?
Taylor Bernard on April 3, 2015:
yeh just came in about 15 ago. that duke booklet is nice. they are using that 'soft touch' coating on the paper on the cover. thats why it feels so nice.
that last image is a 24x36 poster, same size/paper/printing at the enduro poster i sent you. they are using the same colors/fonts/etc on it as the duke brochure, so i think thats what they are running with on everythign now.
Justin Bernard on April 6, 2015:
also, the font/color style is super nice, not at all wanting to rock the boat there.
Taylor Bernard on April 6, 2015:
paper stock on the cover of the duke booklet i'm measuring around .011-.012 which including coating thickness (dont know how much this adds, not much). is pretty heavy stock. this may be out of the range of what a digital printer can feed. this looks to be equivalent to 100# COVER weight.
Justin Bernard on April 6, 2015:
thats why its awesome. we'll just get as close as we can without spending a fortune...

really like the copy/image overlays, and lots of little details like the disc icon on the last image
