not sure how to model/explain this best, but want the 'interface' area to be a smooth transition from the rest of the plate, not a wedge type shape, but think of it more like the contour of an airplane wing
whats up on teh scale, its waaaay bigger than needs to be in relation to milk jug, was thinking that jug would cover up like 90% of it when sitting on it
also can you change the rubber color to blue like in the doc above, same material?

and can you do a zoom in render on the front edge, curious how the interface portion tapers to the main body
Taylor Bernard on December 20, 2013:
oops just dragged it on there and forgot. wanted to be able to see some of the bumps i put on the mat so i just centered it. ok will change those real quick...
didnt do front shape like you drew in illus. that teardrop shape would make it a bit harder to put the buttons and stuff on. but can do it if you want. lmk
Justin Bernard on December 20, 2013:
nah hold up on teardrop if its tricky, do other things first
leave the bumps but maybe make them same color as the base
dont need this right now, but on next version of solid body model, how about flip it essentially so the circle plate is on the bottom, so entire top surface can be the scale, plus keep it cleaner looking, would be easier to wipe/clean down/etc.
Taylor Bernard on December 23, 2013:
so have the top be flat with no emboss and it be sitting on a disc under it centered?
Justin Bernard on December 23, 2013:
yeah was thinking the circle portion could be the actual base, then have the pressure sensor on top of it, that way the entire thing is sort of a floating scale...

see if you can find good icon/carton shape we can use, be neat to have some sort of status led on it that was literal shape/profile
Justin Bernard on December 20, 2013:
make that bad boy more monotone maybe with the white bumps being color matched, see how that looks
can you 'flex' it in c4d, pick it up from one corner to show its rubber?
did you get the arduino stuff i sent back last week?
