lets leave the logo off alltogether on the footer, since the header nav is fixed, its fine that way i think
Taylor Bernard on August 7, 2015:
on that top nav strip. do you want to use that texture as a bg image for the div, or were you trying to mockup something like a 20% grey overlay that will pass over the snow bg.
Justin Bernard on August 7, 2015:
just bg img
Taylor Bernard on August 7, 2015:
hey hit up MT and see whats going on. that domain expires on the 9th i think so if they arent answering on the weekend may not help.
Taylor Bernard on August 7, 2015:
man whats going on here. causes issues when i put in an 'a' tag on the div for normal state and a:hover for hover state. looks like its adding an underline to the div itself? no idea why its doing this cause i thought that only did it on txt. so i put in text-decoration: none and that didnt fix it.
also i couldnt use width: auto for the container div width. when using 'a' tag if i do auto width it bust out of the div and just stacks them vertically. even though they are float left.
Taylor Bernard on August 7, 2015:
you want to do anything for rollover state on these?
prob go blue, but leave it white for now. may do a tint with js, so i can fade it in
Taylor Bernard on August 7, 2015:
how you gonna do that? to do a tint overlay on a png image? looks like piece of cake say on bg color on a div, or to do a transparent overlay div over and fade in color, but how would that work on something like above (not square) besides using CanvasJS or php server side?
Justin Bernard on August 7, 2015:
ill play with it tomorrow and see what can come up with. just make single png for now, maybe make a rollover state with the rollover at the bottom, use the blue color we using elsewhere thx
fighting with freaking centering issues all night. unknown size nested divs in an auto width parent are real fun to debug.
still have that header mouseover glitch. but all the divs are in there. and tell me what you want to do on footer icon rollover state as well.
Justin Bernard on August 8, 2015:
didnt need to be unknown width thkn about it
set width to the social area, know that width as its set ammount of icons
text is more narrow, so just give it the same width as icons, then use text-align: center and it will center in the div area...
already said whatup on footer, said just make a blue rollover above a few hours ago. mess with that tomorrow, all good now
Taylor Bernard on August 8, 2015:
the icons are diff sizes width. made the icon container div auto width/height, and put padding right of 60 on it. so it would space evenly in regards to each one.
Justin Bernard on August 8, 2015:
what we normally do on somethign like that is make all the icons the same size, just give more transparency border in the png, that way math is easier
